Passenger safety

You choose your driver on this platform, which means you are entitled to know what has been checked about them before their name appears in your results.

Before a driver is listed

  • Identity confirmed against a National Identity Card or passport.
  • Driving licence verified as valid and correct for the vehicle class.
  • Police clearance obtained.
  • Medical fitness certified where the vehicle class requires it.
  • Insurance confirmed as covering hire and reward — not private use.
  • Revenue licence and certificate of fitness confirmed current.

Every expiry date is tracked. A driver whose document lapses is suspended automatically rather than continuing to appear while out of cover.

What you see before you book

The driver's name and photograph, their rating and completed journeys, the vehicle's make, model and class, and its registration number. The registration is deliberately shown before booking, not after: it is what lets you confirm at the kerb that the car in front of you is the car you booked.

Before you get in

  • Check the registration number against your booking.
  • Check the driver's face against the photograph on your booking.
  • If either does not match, do not travel. Report it through the contact form.

No legitimate driver on this platform will object to being checked. A driver who does is a reason not to travel.

During the journey

  • Wear a seat belt where one is fitted.
  • Share your journey details with someone you trust if you are travelling alone or at night.
  • If you feel unsafe, ask to stop in a public, well-lit place. You will not be charged for refusing to continue a journey where you felt unsafe.

In an emergency, contact the Sri Lanka Police on 119, or the Tourist Police on 1912. Contact them first and us second — we cannot dispatch help, and they can.

Reporting a concern

Report anything that troubled you through the contact form, choosing the complaint category. Include the booking reference, the date and the vehicle registration if you have it, and attach any evidence.

Reports involving safety are reviewed as a priority. Where an allegation is serious, the driver is suspended while it is investigated rather than after — we would rather lose a driver's earnings for a few days than expose another passenger. We will tell you the outcome.

Lost property

Report it through the contact form with the booking reference as soon as you notice. We will contact the driver. Recovered items are held for 30 days.

Getting in touch

Every enquiry, complaint and request under this policy goes through the contact form on the main site. Choose the category that fits — booking, payments, cancellation, additional service, complaint, additional information or other — describe what happened and attach any evidence. That form routes your message to the team that can actually act on it and gives you a record of what you sent.
