Getting to and from Dickoya
Dickoya sits on the same tea-estate plateau as Hatton, close enough that the drive between the two barely registers as a journey, and the road in from either Colombo or Kandy is the same road used for Hatton for almost its entire length. The two are different towns with different estates around them, but a driver making this run treats them as one stop with two possible endpoints.
Arranging a pickup
Because Dickoya and Hatton are so close together, it is worth being specific about which one a hotel or estate actually sits in — the names are often used loosely for the whole area, and a driver given the wrong one may end up doubling back a short but real distance.
Questions about taxis in Dickoya
How much is a taxi in Dickoya?
From Rs 16,030 in a Mini / Small Car, to Kandy: the lowest fare on the board. Each route below carries its own fixed price, distance and driving time — quoted before you book, with no meter and no surcharge on arrival.
Can I book a taxi from Dickoya to Colombo airport?
Yes, and it is one of the routes most often booked from here. Give your flight number when you book and your driver has it. There is no automatic flight tracking yet, so if you are delayed, message your driver on the number in your confirmation. Extended waiting beyond the pickup window is chargeable on a point-to-point transfer, and the terms say by how much.
Are the drivers in Dickoya verified?
Licence and vehicle are checked before a driver can quote, and each one has a profile showing their rating, experience and the exact car — including the registration — so you know who is coming before you book.
