Cinnamon Wild Yala sits at Kirinda, on the coast in Sri Lanka's deep south, close enough to Yala National Park's boundary that game drives can start within minutes of leaving the property. It's part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, one of the larger Sri Lankan-owned hospitality groups, and unlike some of the tented camps elsewhere around Yala, it's built as a conventional hotel of rooms and chalets rather than canvas structures.

Facilities include an outdoor pool with a poolside bar, a sauna and a spa, alongside a restaurant serving Asian and Western dishes with views over the grounds. The hotel is also within walking distance of Kirinda Beach and Kirinda Temple, a small, well-known Buddhist shrine set on a rock outcrop above the sea, which gives guests somewhere to walk to beyond the hotel grounds without needing transport.
