Jetwing Blue is about 4 kilometres north of the centre, and that last stretch is the part of the drive that varies with the hour rather than with the route. It is on the far side of Negombo from the airport, about 2 kilometres beyond the centre in a straight line, so the drive in finishes by crossing the city rather than stopping short of it.

- Ambuluwawa Tower — about 78 km away in a straight line. A narrow spiral tower on a hilltop near Gampola, climbed for a 360-degree view over the central hills. The last few metres are not for anyone uneasy with heights. Allow a couple of hours.
- Adam's Peak (Sri Pada) — about 87 km away in a straight line. A pilgrimage mountain climbed through the night so as to reach the summit at sunrise. Season runs December to May. Allow an overnight climb.
- Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic — about 88 km away in a straight line. Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist shrine, on the lake in the middle of Kandy. Busiest during the evening puja. Allow 1–2 hours.
