Paradise Beach Club sits right on the beach in Mirissa South, close to the harbour from which the town's whale-watching boats set out each morning. It is one of the older established properties on this stretch of coast, and it shows in the layout: a mix of older and newer buildings has grown up around the same core position on the sand over the years, with rooms gradually renovated rather than the whole property rebuilt at once.
The centrepiece is a beach-facing outdoor pool with an adjoining spa pool, set among palm trees and sun loungers with the Indian Ocean immediately in front of it — the feature guests most often mention when describing the hotel. The hotel runs to around 60 guestrooms, each with a private terrace or balcony, an LCD television and a private bathroom stocked with complimentary toiletries, furnished simply rather than elaborately.
