What a Sedan is for

A full-size saloon, and the class most people should be looking at for a long transfer. The boot takes real luggage, the ride is settled at expressway speed, and four adults can sit in it for several hours without anyone counting the minutes.

When it is the wrong choice

Ground clearance is the constraint. Sri Lankan main roads are fine, but hotel access tracks in the Cultural Triangle and some of the hill-country lanes are rough, and a low saloon has to take them slowly.
